John Louis Miller Sr.

John Louis Miller Sr., 74, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on April 8, 2024 at his residence with his loving family by his side. John was born on November 29, 1949 in Addyston, OH, a son of the late Philip Miller and Elizabeth (Metcalfe) Miller. John was a graduate of Patriot High School Class of 1968. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed at G.E and Fernald. John enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, tinkering, cooking, and spending time with his family. John was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion Post #59 and served as past Commander in 1995.

John is survived by sons John Miller Jr. (Karrah) of Rising Sun, IN, Brandon Miller of Rising Sun, IN, Cody Miller (Emily) of Rising Sun, IN, and Chris Miller (Amanda) of Moores Hill, IN; daughters Randa Snelling (Shannon) of Rising Sun, IN and Tiffany Pothapragada (Harsha) of WA; brothers Phil Miller of Rising Sun, IN, Charles Miller (Debra) of Milan, IN, and Dale Miller (Theresa) of Rising Sun, IN; sisters Violet Kelly (Lewis) of East Enterprise, IN, Lois Fish (Guy) of Rising Sun, IN, Phyllis Thomas of Allensville, IN, and Patty Aldridge (Ron) of Richmond, KY; grandchildren Justin, Dalton, Ethan, Tyrrah, Tamryn, Braydon, Jackson, Carter, Christian, Aubree, Olivia, Kiegan, Kohen, Kamdynn, and one on the way, Addyston; great grandchild Lauren; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by brothers Harold “Butch” Miller and Thomas Miller.

A private celebration of life is to be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
