Carroll William Hufford

Carroll William Hufford, 81, of Ohio County, IN, passed away on, Sunday, August 11th, 2019 at Highpoint Health in Lawrenceburg, IN. Carroll was born in Switzerland County, IN on March 10, 1938, a son of the late Wauneta (Moore) and Lawrence  Hufford. Carroll grew up in the Patriot community and attended Concord Community Church in his youth. He was a graduate of Patriot High School, Class of 1956. Carroll married Mary Ann (Hatton) Hufford on February 1st, 1958 at the home of the bride's parents in Rising Sun, IN. Carroll and Mary Ann were married over 61 years until his passing. Carroll retired from General Motors in Norwood, OH, after 30 years of service. Carroll was a car enthusiast and loved all classic American made cars.
Carroll is  survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Hufford, of Ohio County, IN; by a son, Mark Hufford and wife Dinah, of Independence, KY; by grandsons, Troy Hufford of Hebron, KY and Shane Hufford (Meredith) of Huntington, WV; by brother-in-law, Robert Hatton (Nan), of Lawrenceburg, IN; by nephews Larry Hufford (Lisa), of FL and Kenny Hufford, of FL; by nieces,  Melanie Ronto, of CO; Natalie Kain (Dale), of AZ and Vianna Crisp (Don), of FL. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, by a son, Kevin Hufford in 1978, by a brother, Robert Hufford, and by a sister, Rosalie Hufford.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Saturday, August 17th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Brother  Mark  Baldauff officiating. Friends are invited to call Saturday 9 -11AM at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery.
