Cherish Richelle Damerst, 24, of Patriot, IN, (formerly of Rising Sun and Friendship, NY) passed away at 11:42 AM, Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019 in Florence, IN. Cherish was born in St. Mary's, NY on October 7, 1994, a daughter of Susan (Kuzminski) Williams, of Patriot, IN and Stephen Damerst, of Friendship, NY. She attended school in Rising Sun and later went on to graduate from high school in Friendship, NY. Cherish loved to cook. She worked as a chef at different restaurants & bars in New York. Cherish also had worked in housekeeping at the Rising Star Casino.  Cherish enjoyed listening to John Lennon, The Beatles and Big Smo. She loved her family and spending time with her friends. Cherish is survived by her mother Susan Williams and step father James of Patriot, IN; by her father Stephen Damerst, of Friendship, NY; by grandmother, Sandra Dishon, of Switzerland County, IN;  by three sisters, Raeleigh Phillips, of Aurora, IN; Samantha  Phillips, of Warren, PA and  Nicky Phillips, of Olean, NY; by two brothers, David Williams, of Patriot, IN and Justin Williams, of Patriot, IN; by three step sisters, Rebecca Leppert, of Indianapolis, IN; Bethany Brooke Ziers, of Indianapolis, IN and Lily May Williams, of Switzerland County, IN; by two step brothers, Anthony M. Williams, of SC and James Lee Williams, of Miramar, CA. She was preceded by her sister  Tiah Love Damerst in 2017. Visitation for Cherish will be 2-4 PM, Sunday, January 27th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the family for funeral expense.
