Desiree Marie (Barrows) Childers

Desiree Marie Childers, 30, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 at her residence. Desiree was born in Cincinnati, OH on November 6, 1989, a daughter of Angela Marie (Freeman) Bryant, of Lawrenceburg, IN and Rodney L. Barrows, of Lawrenceburg, IN. Desiree grew up in Lawrenceburg and attended school there. She was a homemaker and loving mother to her son Karter. Desiree enjoyed doing hair and makeup. She was also a talented writer and wrote several poems.
Desiree is survived by her beloved son, Karter Childers, of Lawrenceburg, IN; by her mother, Angel Bryant (Robert Bowman), of Lawrenceburg, IN; by her father, Rodney Barrows (Beverly), of Lawrenceburg, IN; by her brother, Derek Barrows (Mariah), of Cleves, OH; by her sister, Danielle Bryant, of Lawrenceburg, IN; by grandmothers, Phyllis Barrows, of Manchester, IN and Cathy Campbell (Wayne), of Aurora, IN; by a step sister, Amanda Grace, of Shelbyville, IN and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends. Desiree was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Melvin Barrows and Glen Freeman.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday, January 20th at the New Life Southern Baptist Church in Manchester, IN. Visitation will be Sunday 5-8 PM at the church.
