Edith Ann (Ellis) Lostutter

Edith Ann Lostutter, 87, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 5:20 AM, Sunday, July 21st, 2019 peacefully, at her residence. Edith was born in Elizabethtown, KY on January 15, 1932, a daughter of the late Hazel (Murphy) and Josiah  Ellis. She was a 1950 graduate of Patriot High School in Patriot, IN. Edith married William Donald Lostutter on June, 26, 1950. They were married nearly 40 years until William Donald's passing on March 11, 1990. Edith worked at Anchor Glass in Lawrenceburg, IN, for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. She also formerly worked at Randall -Textron in Vevay, IN. She was a member of the Rising Sun First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Aurora Moose Auxiliary. Edith enjoyed reading, traveling and going to the pool. She loved to line dance and was very good at it, she even taught others how. Edith loved her family and was blessed to help raise her great granddaughter.

Edith is  survived by two daughters, Beverly Fugate (Bill), of London, OH and Sandra Goodman (Allen), of Bright, IN; by 3 grandchildren: William Fugate (Joy), William Tyler Lostutter and Brent Fugate (Angie); by 6 great grandchildren: Caitlyn Ella Lostutter, Everett Fugate, Marcella Fugate, Brantley Lostutter, Mollie Jo Fugate and William Fugate III. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband William Donald Lostutter, by her son William Douglas Lostutter in 2016, by her brother Walter Ellis and by sisters Dorothy Hart, Virginia Bentle and Ethel Sams.
 
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, July 24th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Tuesday, July 23, at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rising Sun Fire Department.
