Helen Charlotte (White) Adams

Helen Charlotte "Shy" Adams, 86, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away Thursday, August 1st, 2019 at Ripley Crossing in Milan, IN. Helen was born in Switzerland County, IN on March 9, 1933, a daughter of the late Abbie (Lothridge) and Matthew  White. She grew up in Switzerland County and attended Vevay High School and Patriot High School.  Helen married Robert Lee Adams on April 14th, 1952 in San Bernardino, CA. Helen and Robert were married over 45 years until his passing on December 24th, 1997. She attended the Rising Sun Church of Christ and also Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ earlier on. Helen worked as a clerk at Byer's Pharmacy in Aurora, IN for several years. She was also formerly a dispatcher for Ohio County. Helen also had been a waitress and worked at the Canning Factory in Rising Sun. Helen was a league bowler for many years and enjoyed playing euchre and rook. When her health allowed, she was an avid walker and kept a spotless house. Helen was a loving mom, grandma, great grandma, great great grandma, sister, aunt and dear friend to many.
Helen is  survived by three daughters, Christi Berkley (Butch), of Rising Sun, IN, Lana Webb (Bruce), of Rising Sun, IN and Susie Peterson (Dave), of Wisconsin; by three sons Terry "Butchie" Adams (Bonita), of Aurora, IN, Tim Adams (Terrie), of Rising Sun, IN and Bobby Adams (Michelle Russell), of Rising Sun, IN; By grandchildren: Matthew Adams, Angel Adams(Brian), Amy Adams, Christopher Berkley (Abbey), Sara Otter (Dustin), Nathan Adams, Taylor Adams(Jared), Allie Adams, Erin Webb (Brandon), Brent Webb, Abbie Collova (Blake) & Nichole Collova; by great grandchildren: Alyssa Adams, C.J. Berkley, Rorey Berkley, Adrian Berkley, Kassidy Lewis & Owen Otter and by great great granddaughter, Scarlet Adams. Helen is also survived by a sister, Wanda Lee Chase, of Lawrenceburg, IN; by a brother, Gerald "Bush" White, of Rising Sun, IN; by sisters-in-law, Evelyn White and Dorothy Walton of Rising Sun, IN; by brother-in-law, Jack Facemire, of  Gallipolis, OH and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents,  by her husband, Robert , by  a sister Mary K. Facemire and by brothers, Richard "Dick", Bill, Jess, Jimmy Doc, and Bobby White and by infant siblings, Tommy and Ami Kay.
 
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday, August 5th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Eldon Fancher officiating. Friends are invited to call  Sunday 4-7 PM at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
