Janet Whitney McCracken

Janet Lee Whitney McCracken, 75, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 2:25 PM, Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Thomas, KY. Janet was born in Batesville, IN on July 29, 1942, a daughter of the late Frances (McCrory) Cochran. She was a graduate of Rising Sun High School, Class of 1960. Janet worked as a cook at Jack's Place Restaurant in Rising Sun, IN for several years. Janet is survived by a daughter, Janice Ross, of Lawrenceburg, IN; by a son, Robert Whitney, of Rising Sun, IN; by a sister, Anita Cochran, of Rising Sun, IN; by a brother, Mike Cochran, of Rising Sun, IN; by grandchildren; Jimmy Garland, Jake Ross, Whitney Ross and Emily Schuler-Heming and by great grandchildren; Riley Garland, McKenzie Ross, Jaxon Ross, Brantlee White & Aliyah White. She was preceded in death by her parents, by a daughter, Kathy Schuler and by a brother, Thomas Cochran. A memorial visitation will be Friday, June 1st, from 5-8 PM at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the family for funeral expense. marklandfuneralhome.com
