Linda Marie Thomas

Linda Marie Thomas, 66, of Batesville, IN, passed away at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, August 7th, 2019 at her residence. Linda was born in Rising Sun, IN on May 5, 1953, a daughter of the late Esther Mae (Johnson) Thomas and Mike  Thomas. Linda grew up in Rising Sun and was a graduate of Rising Sun High School Class of 1971. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force. Linda worked at the Jefferson Proving Ground in Madison, IN and later on at Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun. Linda was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion and formerly attended Shiloh Baptist Church. Linda loved to play bingo, watch game shows on TV and was a Bengals fan. Linda is  survived by a son , Maceo L. Thomas (Michelle), of McAlester, OK; by grandson Nick Schneider, of Batesville, IN and by a sister, Karen Washington (Joe), of Cincinnati, OH. Linda was preceded in death by her father Mike Thomas, by her mother Esther Mae (Johnson) Thomas, by sisters Beverly Woosley and Lillian Thomas. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM, Saturday, August 10th at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Rising Sun, IN with Rev. Calvin Todd officiating.
