On November 7, 2019, Rick Greive, age 55 of Aurora, passed away surrounded by his loving family. Rick was born February 19, 1964 to Don and Shirley Greive. He married his high school sweetheart Tina (Tedesco), and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Emily and Samantha. He was adored by his only granddaughter, Quinn, who smiled whenever he walked into the room. He enjoyed coaching his daughters in soccer and basketball for many years. Rick was also known as a hard worker that could build anything. He was a proud member of the United Brotherhood District Council of Carpenters Union for 33 years. Rick had a great passion for the outdoors. He spent his free time with family and friends enjoying and excelling in golfing, hunting, and fishing. He loved competition and won many club championships and tournaments. His passion for the outdoors led to 20 years vacationing at Norris Lake with family and friends, where Rick's best part of the day was his time spent as the captain of his boat, catching striper. Rick will be remembered by all for the love he had for his family. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tina, his two daughters Emily (Carson) Bender and Samantha (Dylan) Barlion, his granddaughter Quinn, his parents Don and Shirley Greive, his sister Kim (Joey) Markland, his brother Tate (Nichole) Greive, the Tedesco family, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora, IN. Visitation will be Monday 10 am -11 am at St. Mary's. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Aurora, IN. A reception and celebration of Rick's life will be held at St. Mary's gymnasium following the burial.
