Roberta Clara (Barker) Bruce

Roberta Clara Bruce, 90, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 9:05 PM, Friday, November 23rd, 2018 at The Waters of Rising Sun. Roberta was born in Fairmont, WV on June 8, 1928, a daughter of the late Clara Virginia (Hollen) and Robert  Barker. She graduated from high school in Cleveland, OH. She retired from Indiana Bell. When her health allowed her, Roberta attended Rising Sun Church of Christ. Roberta loved to play bingo. She also had an artistic side and was a florist, enjoyed making candy and painting. Roberta is  survived by a daughter, Roberta Walters and husband Roy, of Rising Sun, IN; by a son, Eric Phillip Bruce and wife Cynthia Adams, of Columbus, OH; by a sister, Sandy Lombardi, of Canton, OH; by a brother, Dick Murdock, of SC; by grandchildren, Cole Walters and Cliff Walters and by great grandchildren, Jonah Walters, Joy Walters, Evan Walters and Eli Walters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Phillip Bruce, by a brother, David Barker and by a sister, Ginger Perkins. A memorial visitation for Roberta will be held from 2 - 4 PM on Friday, November 30th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN.
