Samuel Cowens, 81, of Dillsboro, IN, (formerly of Lawrenceburg) passed away at 03:07 AM, Wednesday, March 6th, 2019 at The Waters of Dillsboro. Samuel was born in Campbell County, KY on August 4, 1937, a son of the late Pearl Louise (Landers) and Samuel Jackson Cowens. Samuel had worked at Texas Instruments. On July 28, 2010, Samuel married Norma Jane Fox who passed away on February 15, 2015. Samuel is survived by sons: Richard, James, Paul, Mark and Joseph Cowens; by stepsons, Joseph and Patrick Fox; by stepdaughter, Therese Harmon and by many grandchildren and step grandchildren. At Samuel's request, no public service will be held. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. Markland Funeral Home of Rising Sun, IN serving the family. marklandfuneralhome.com
