Anita Kay Cochran, 67, of Ohio County, IN, passed away on Friday, November 21st, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospice. Anita was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on June 5, 1958, a daughter of the late Frances (McCrory) Cochran and Pete Crawford Cochran. Anita loved her cats, socializing with friends, enjoying time with her family, and took special pride in her four grandchildren. She was one of the strongest people you could know. Anita is survived by her only child and son, Steven Crawford Cochran; his wife, Amber, and her four grandchildren, Justice, Jade, Ziza and Victor Cochran. She is also survived by her brother, Mike (Serena) Cochran, and her sister-in-law, Jo'Nee Turner Cochran; nieces and nephews, Tomya Cochran-Metcalf (Charles), Troy Cochran (Val), Josh Cochran (Nicole), Jessica Cochran (Colton), Janice Ross, and multiple great nieces and nephews. Anita was proceeded in death by her brother, Thomas Lynn Cochran; her sister, Janet Wells Whitney; her nieces, Tracy Cochran Evans, and Kathy Whitney Schuler; her mother, Frances Cochran; and her father, Pete Crawford Cochran. The family will gather in private to memorialize Anita, per her wishes.
