Barbara Ann (Howard) Cavanaugh

Barbara Ann Cavanaugh, 72, of Patriot, IN, passed away at 5:07 AM, Thursday, February 24, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital, Edgewood, KY. Barbara was born in Blythe, California on June 8, 1949, a daughter of the late Eunice (Higgins) and Ralph  Howard. She obtained her business degree from Sinclair Community College. She  was employed in Business Process Development at Fifth Third Bank and retired in 2005. Barbara served in the U.S. Air Force. On October 16, 1969, she was married to Charles Lester Cavanaugh, who preceded her in death in 2003. Barbara's greatest joy was to have fun with her grandkids. She also enjoyed golfing and boating, and was a true lover of the river life.

Barbara is survived by daughters, Samantha Taylor (Bradley), of Patriot, IN and Treva Moore (Paul) of Lebanon, OH; sister Cheryl Pisarcik (George); sister-in-law Gloria Howard; grandchildren Kaelin Taylor, Reagan Moore, Hunter Moore, Piper Taylor, and Harper Moore; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by husband Charles Cavanaugh and brother Robin Howard.  

A public memorial service will be held March 5th at the Markland Funeral Home from 11 AM - 1 PM. Funeral will be March 5th at 1 PM at the Markland Funeral Home with burial to follow at Concord Cemetery. Friends and family will be received at the family's home after burial. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the Switzerland County Animal Shelter.
