Bette Mae Craig, 89, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn in Lawrenceburg, IN. Bette was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 28, 1934, a daughter of the late Minnie (Black) Linz and Gustave  Linz. Bette grew up in Cincinnati and was a 1952 graduate of Mercy High School. She and former classmates still enjoyed getting together. Bette married Carson Robert Craig on September 5, 1953. Bette and Carson were married over 68 years until his passing on December 9, 2021. Bette was formerly employed at Harte Hanks in Cincinnati, OH. Bette and her husband Carson also operated Craig's Greenhouse for several years. Bette also had an artistic side and was very talented at china painting. Bette is  survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Blevins, of Rising Sun, IN and Roxanna Owens, of Rising Sun, IN; by two sons, Greg Craig, of Cotopaxi, CO and  Andrew Craig, of Milan, IN and by her sister-in-law, Rose Linz, of Cincinnati, OH. Bette is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Bette was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Carson Craig, by her son John Craig and by her brother Donald Linz.
 
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 2nd at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 2nd at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at North Cemetery in Rising Sun, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
