Carl Edward Eversman

Carl Edward Eversman passed away Tuesday February 11, 2020 at the age of 90. Visitation will be held on Thursday Feb 13, 2020 from 11:00 to 1:00pm at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Funeral services honoring and celebrating his life follow at 1:00pm with Reverend Tom Holt officiating. Burial will be at River View Cemetery. Memorial gifts in his honor may be made to Hope Baptist Church or to the family to assist with final expenses. Carl was born January 1, 1930 in Dearborn County Indiana, Carl loved his farm, raising and milking cows, growing a garden to food for his animals and his family. He loved to feed the birds then he got to set on the porch and watch their beauty. He worked for Ohio County Highway and drove a dump truck 30 years then had his farm milking cows. He was the son of Paul Reinhold Eversman (Neigenfind) and Neatha Woodena (Sharp). He married the love of his life Betty Jean (Colen) on November 18, 1949 and were married 46 years. They had three boys. Kenneth Eversman and wife Cheryl, Gary Eversman and wife Naomi, and Allen Eversman. Grandchildren: Brandi and Jesse Hendricks, Sarah and Nathan Turner, Jacob and Jennifer Eversman, Andrew and (Tracyi) Eversman and Kelly Eversman great grandchildren Gavin and Neema Hendricks, Ava and Colton Turner, Ethan and Cammie Eversman. He married Lavina Griffin Childress May 4 1996 and was married 14 years.
