Charles Thomas "Charlie" Hetisimer, 86, of East Enterprise, IN, passed away Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026 at his home. Charlie was born in Miamitown, OH on January 20, 1940, a son of the late Helen (Otto) Hetisimer and Thomas D. Hetisimer. He was a 1960 graduate of William Henry Harrison High School in Harrison, OH. Charlie married Donna Jean (Koehler) Hetisimer in 1963. They were married 59 years until her passing in 2022. Charlie first worked at Harrison Farm Equipment and then went on to open his own shop, Charlie's Tractor Repair in Harrison. He later worked at Moredock Farms alongside Bruce Hutcherson and the Makin Bacon tractor pulling team for several years. Charlie was an antique tractor enthusiast and a member of the F.A.R.M. Club of Southeastern Indiana and the Switzerland County Antique Tractor Club. He served as director  and held several offices while a member of these organizations. Charlie also enjoyed going to auctions and was a gun collector. He truly enjoyed talking to people and never met a stranger. 

Charlie is  survived by two daughters, Melissa "Missy" Hetisimer and Michelle "Shellie" Hetisimer Densler and husband Charles Randy; by his son, Michael "Mike" Hetisimer and fiancee Rhonda "Nikki" Ahaus-Walker and by his grandson, Landen Hetisimer. Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Otto) Hetisimer; by his father and stepmother, Thomas & Fanny Hetisimer; by his wife, Donna Jean Hetisimer; by his sister, Donna Rene Russ and by his step brother, Avery Wolfe.
 
Public graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, September 7th, 2026 at the Rising Sun New Cemetery in Rising Sun, IN. A luncheon will follow at the Rising Sun Historical Building. Memorial donations may be made to the family or to the F.A.R.M. Club of Southeastern Indiana. Markland Funeral Home of Rising Sun, IN serving the family.
