Christine (Cook) Sullivan, 65, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 4th, 2025 at her home. Christine was born in Cincinnati, OH on January 24, 1960, a daughter of the late Lourinda (Howe) Cook and Charles William Cook. Christine grew up in the Cincinnati community and attended Western Hills High School. She worked for several years in the surveillance department at Grand Victoria Casino and later Rising Star Casino, retiring in 2018. Christine married Thomas A. Sullivan on July 7, 2007 at their home in Rising Sun. Christine and Tom were married over 18 years until her passing. Christine enjoyed a good book and took the opportunity to read whenever she could. She also had a green thumb and took pride in her flowers and plants. Her greatest joy came from her children and her beloved grandchildren.
Christine is survived by her loving husband, Tom Sullivan, of Rising Sun, IN; by her cherished daughters, Melissa Meyer, of Rising Sun, IN; Jessica Peelman (Jeremy), of East Enterprise, IN and Jennifer Craig (Jason), of Patriot, IN and by her adoring grandchildren, Maddy Meyer, Jenna Peelman, Camden Craig, Jakob Peelman, Jaylen Peelman, Daniel Meyer and Corbin Craig. Christine is also survived by four sisters, Sherry Hodge (Donnie), of Cincinnati, OH; Patricia Maggard, of Verona, KY; Darlene Cook, of Kentucky and Billie Cook, of Cincinnati, OH; by three brothers, Charles Cook (Betty), of Florence, KY; Steve Cook (Donna), of Cincinnati, OH and John Cook (Amy), of Cincinnati, OH. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, by her brother, Donald Cook and by her son, Jason Thomas Brunner in 1995.
A celebration of Christine's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 at Markland Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Loving Hearts Hospice 23986 State Line Road #102, Lawrenceburg IN 47025 in recognition of their kind service. The family would like to give a special thank you to nurse Cynthia for her loving care of Christine.
