Cleveta Darlene "Dottie" Gregory

Cleveta Darlene "Dottie" Gregory, 85, Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 8:30 PM, Friday, April 10th, 2020 while in the company of family members, at The Waters of Rising Sun. Dottie was born in Ohio County, IN on January 22, 1935, a daughter of the late Flossie (Moore) and James E. Gregory. Dottie grew up in Ohio County and attended school in Rising Sun. She worked as a waitress at several places over the years including the Rising Sun American Legion and Jack's Place Restaurant. Dottie was a member of the Rising Sun First Baptist Church and the Rising Sun American Legion Post 59 Auxiliary. Dottie's family was the most important thing in her life. She also had a great love for animals. Dottie loved visiting with her extended family  at the Hoosier Girl Senior Housing. Dottie loved her Lord and put her trust and faith in Him to walk with and carry her through the rough times of life.
 Dottie is survived by three daughters, Eulandle "Lanie" Brett and her daughter Day, of Rising Sun, IN; Holly Perdue and her daughter Krystle, of Nashville, IN; Lisa Scott and her companion Dennis Rook, of Vevay, IN; by two sons Franklin "Tim" Foster and his wife Lisa, of Lawrenceburg, IN and Melvin Kremer and his daughter Madison, of Aurora, IN. Dottie is survived by 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren in all. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Flossie Gregory; by her son, Rodney Foster in 2001; by her grandson, Joseph Foster in 1980; by 4 sisters, Catherine Greive, Etheline Maddox, Geraldine Mirick and Shirley Rayls; by 4 brothers, Herschel, James, Wendell and Vernon Gregory. 
Family graveside services will be at 11 AM, Thursday, April 16th at Cedar Hedge Cemetery in Rising Sun, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to P.A.W.S. of Dearborn County 200 Charles A. Liddle Dr. Lawrenceburg, IN 47025. Markland Funeral Home of Rising Sun, IN serving the family.
