Connie Sue Tinsley

Connie Sue Tinsley, 67, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood. Connie was born in Milan, IN on March 9, 1957, a daughter of the late Olen and Betty Tinsley. Connie was a graduate of the Rising Sun High School Class of 1975. She was employed as a slot attendant for several years at the local casino. Connie enjoyed many things, such as cooking, tending flowers and plants, watching birds, and caring for her beloved pets. Most of all, she loved her family dearly and found her greatest joy in spending time with them.

Connie is survived by sons Thomas “Tommy” Courter (Angel) of Rising Sun, IN, Jacob Courter (Jessarah) of Patriot, IN, and Justin Courter of Rising Sun, IN; brother Dennis Tinsley (Debbie) of Rising Sun, IN; sister Barb Tinsley of Rising Sun, IN; sister-in-law Debbie Tinsley of Rising Sun, IN; grandchildren Austin, Damion, and Ember; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by brother Floyd Tinsley.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 5th at the Markland Funeral Home from 11 AM – 1 PM with funeral at 1 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Red Wolf Sanctuary.
