David Todd Zerkle

David Todd Zerkle, 59, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away 1:59 PM, November 17, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood, Edgewood, KY. Todd was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on June 9, 1962, a son of Elizabeth “Liz” (White) Zerkle and the late David Aaron Zerkle. He was a graduate of the Rising Sun High School Class of 1980. He was employed as a laborer at Matthews-Aurora. Todd enjoyed watching ball games, Nascar, and doing yard work. He loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed telling jokes and always loved to hear new ones. And he wasn't beyond stirring up a little mischief upon occasion.

Todd is survived by wife, Karen Lewis of Rising Sun, IN; mother Elizabeth “Liz” Zerkle of Rising Sun, IN; sons Kurt Zerkle of Covington, KY and Cory Zerkle of Burlington, KY; daughters Haley Zerkle of Newport, KY and Kelly Brown (Jason) of Milan, IN; sister Elizabeth “Rae” Beckett of Rising Sun, IN; grandchildren Carson David Zerkle and Trenton Gridley; and nieces and nephews, Jamee Gray (Terry), Staci Hiatt (Andrew), and Cody Beckett (Mikayla). He was preceded in death by his father, David Aaron Zerkle.

A public visitation will be held, Monday, November 22nd, from 5 – 8 PM at the Markland Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
