Diane Jule Gardt

Diane Jule Gardt, 85, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Thursday, September 19th, 2024 at her residence. Diane was born in Highland Park, MI on March 3, 1939, a daughter of the late Marie Louise (Christie) Gardt and Raymond Craig Gardt, Sr. Diane was a 1957 graduate of Rising Sun High School. Diane retired from the University of Cincinnati Admissions Department where she worked as Manager of Admissions Processing for over 35 years. Diane had many interests. She loved to play golf and dominos. She enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and doing projects around the house. Diane also liked to go antiquing and refinishing furniture. Diane was a member of the Rising Sun Church of Christ.

Diane is survived by her niece, Carol Sue Hamilton Hogan, of Rising Sun, IN; by her nephew, David Clark Hamilton, of Rising Sun, IN; by her grand nephews, Timothy G. Hogan (Kelli) and Robert P.J. Hogan (Janice) both of Marysville, WA; by her grand niece, Patricia M. Hamilton, of Caguas, Puerto Rico and by 2 great grand nieces and 1 great grand nephew. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, by her brother, Raymond Craig Gardt, Jr. and by her sister, Patricia Ann Gardt Hamilton.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be 10 AM - 11 AM on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 at Markland Funeral Home.
