Donald "Donnie" James Beard

Donald “Donnie” James Beard, 47, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away 4:50 PM August 28, 2022 at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. Donnie was born at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, IN on October 13, 1974, a son of Karen (Bowman) and Roger Beard. Donnie was a graduate of Lawrenceburg High School Class of 1993. He was employed as a forklift operator/inventory specialist for FedEx. He attended Grants Creek Baptist Church in his younger years. Donnie greatly enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors, going camping, hiking, fishing, and boating. He also found joy in caring for animals, especially dogs, cooking, music, going to concerts, bird watching and feeding, and attending sporting events, with his favorite team being the Indianapolis Colts. In his younger years, Donnie played soccer, baseball, football, swimming, and the drums in the middle school and high school band. Although he had many hobbies, spending time with his family and friends was his favorite.

Donnie is survived by his father, Roger Beard of Lawrenceburg, IN; mother, Karen Beard of Lawrenceburg, IN; brother, Travis Beard (Jessica) of Fairfield, OH; sister, Angela Middleton (Adam) of Noblesville, IN; nieces, Violet and Piper Middleton; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Donnie was preceded in death by grandparents, James Edwin Bowman, Anna Lee Bowman Miller, Robert Noah Beard, and Betty Rose Beard.

A public visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2022, from 10 AM – 1 PM at the Markland Funeral Home. Funeral will be Friday, September 9, 2022, at 1 PM at the Markland Funeral Home with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or the American Cancer Society.
