Donna Jean (Koehler) Hetisimer

Donna Jean (Koehler) Hetisimer, born August 20, 1941, passed away on June 24, 2022 at Mercy West Hospital after complications from open heart surgery. She was the daughter of Albert and Kathryn Koehler (Austing). She grew up in New Baltimore Ohio and graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in Harrison Ohio. She married Charles (Charlie) Hetisimer in 1963 and was blessed with 3 children. Donna worked in several places in her long life, but she spent the majority of her working years working at McDonalds in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and the one that was inside of Walmart. She was also an active member in local Antique Tractor clubs of Southeastern Indiana, and Vevay Indiana, with her husband. She enjoyed the lasting friendships she made in each place. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed curling up in her chair with her kindle or a paperback. She was also known in certain circles for her delicious potato salad.

Donna will be deeply missed by her husband Charles (Charlie), and their children, Melissa (Missy) Hetisimer, Michael (Mike) Hetisimer and his fiancé Rhonda (Nikki) Ahaus-Walker, and Michelle (Shellie Hetisimer) Densler and her husband Charles (Randy), and her grandson Landen Hetisimer. She is also survived by her brothers Jerry Koehler and his wife Pat of Michigan, James (Jim) Koehler and his wife Millie, of Okeana OH and Arthur (Skeet) Koehler and his wife Debbie, of Okeana OH and a sister Betty (Koehler) Buchert, sister-in-law Barb Koehler, of Arizona and brother-in-law Larry Morrissey, of Hamilton OH along with numerous nieces, nephews. She will also be deeply missed by her friends and the “Old Women” club she had dinner with once a month. She was proceeded in death by her parents Albert and Kathryn Koehler, her in-laws Thomas and Fanny Hetisimer and Helen Hetisimer, her brother Albert (Butch) Koehler II and her sister Kay (Koehler) Morrissey and sister-in-law Donna Rene Hetisimer Russ.

Donna requested no visitation services and a private graveside service at Rising Sun Cemetery.

Everyone is invited to a Celebration of her life on July 9th, 2022, at Patriot Town Hall in Patriot Indiana from 2-6pm.
