Dorothy Jean (Adams) Walton

Dorothy Jean Walton, 90, Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at The Waters of Rising Sun. Dorothy was born in Carroll County, KY on August 30, 1931, a daughter of the late Audrey Fay (Bell) Adams and Elik  Adams. Dorothy married Ervin P. Walton on July 24, 1948 in Rising Sun, IN. Dorothy and Ervin shared their lives over 62 love filled years until Ervin's passing on December 7, 2010. She was a faithful member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. Dorothy was formerly employed at Tandy's IGA in Rising Sun. She also worked several years at the Rising Sun Care Center, which later became The Waters of Rising Sun. It was at The Waters where she spent her last days and received excellent care and love from the staff. Spending time with her family was the most precious thing to Dorothy. She was so very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dorothy is  survived by her son, Paul Walton and wife Darlene, of Rising Sun, IN; by her daughter, Penny Robinson and husband Randy, of Rising Sun, IN; by her grandchildren: Mark Walton, Robin Bruce, Jodi Keith (Brian), Brandy Honchell (Todd) and Tawnya Karsteter (Chris) and by her great grandchildren: Alex Bruce, Cody Bruce, Jackson Karsteter, Dylan Karsteter, Brody Becker and Jacob Becker. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Elik and Audrey Adams, by her husband Ervin Walton, by her brothers Woodrow, James and Robert Adams and by her sister Kathleen LaPointe.
