Douglas Lee Ballard

Douglas Lee Ballard, 54, of Sunman, IN, passed away at 2:23 PM, Friday, July 30th, 2021 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, IN. Doug was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on January 3, 1967, a son of the late Patty (O'Connor) and Harry Dean Ballard. Doug did construction and mechanical work and was formerly employed at Electric Motor Technologies in St. Bernard, OH. He was the husband of Amanda "Mandy"  Eckstein. Doug and Mandy were married on September 12, 2015 in Sunman, IN. Doug loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked to play golf and go bowling.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Eckstein, of Sunman, IN. He is also survived  by two sisters, Sandra Moffitt, of Lawrenceburg, IN and Hope Hussung, of Warren, MI and by many other family members and friends.
 
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 3rd at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 3rd at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cedar Hedge Cemetery in Rising Sun, IN. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrews Health Campus Activity Fund or to the charity of donor's choice. marklandfuneralhome.com
