Emily Mae was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter and friend. “She had the most contagious belly laugh that could light up your soul.” “She could spend hours staring at the toys that had light, now she has been blessed to see the purest light of all.” “If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into your face, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you.” She enjoyed car rides, swimming, music, and playing with her siblings. Her all-time favorite was sitting on her daddy's lap enjoying the time spent with him.
Despite her lifelong illness and countless days in the hospital she always had an attitude we all should acquire and this was pure joy. When you think of Emily celebrate the wonderful memories you have. She would want you to remember life is short and tomorrow is never promised.
I ached and yearned for that imaginary place, one which I could run and play with a body that was able. Now I sit with God, with natures beauty and astounding light which to those who knew me knew I loved lots of light; I can finally do all those things that I couldn’t in my little body. My little feet ran to Jesus and as soon as I got to heaven I danced and sang as loud as my voice could sing. I sang the song to everyone here in heaven “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5. They totally loved it. To everyone back here on earth life was good to me but now that I am here there isn't any place I would rather be. Learn to forgive and love others just the way I did. I love you all so much. I will be waiting here in heaven for all of you. I will see you soon.
Love,
Emily Mae
