Ethel Mae Ellis, 65, of Warsaw, KY, passed away on February 16, 2020 at her residence. Ethel was born in Lexington, KY on December 10, 1954, a daughter of the late Alda (Ellison) and Roy Butcher. She was a homemaker and the widow of Howard Ellis, who passed away in 2007. Ethel Mae and Howard were together over 40 years. Ethel enjoyed music, especially Elvis and Kenny Chesney. She also liked to go dancing. Ethel's greatest love was her children and grandchildren. Ethel is survived by four daughters: Melinda Butcher, of Lexington, KY; Rhonda Tate (Jimmy), of Versailles, KY; Jeanie Butcher, of Hot Springs, AR and Jolene Brock (Todd), of Corinth, KY; by three sons: George Butcher (Samantha), of Dayton, KY; Howard Ellis (Samantha), of Florence, IN and Jonathan Ellis, of Versailles, KY and by 22 grandchildren. Ethel is also survived by a sister, Betty Barnes (Clint), of Lexington, KY and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Visitation will be 1-3 PM on Sunday, February 23rd at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Final services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
