Everett Linnville Boggs, 63, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 26th, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, IN. Everett was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on November 1, 1961, a son of the late Veda (McCabe) Boggs and Dock Boggs. He was a graduate of South Dearborn High School, Class of 1979. Everett was the husband of Alison (Branham) Boggs. Everett & Alison were married on September 17, 2016 in Rising Sun, IN. Everett worked as a self-employed handyman and construction worker most of his life. He was public-spirited and a long time member of the Rising Sun Post 59 Sons of the American Legion and also served as past Master of the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge. Everett enjoyed the outdoors. He looked forward to raising a garden every year and liked to go hunting in his younger days. Some of his favorite times were spent in his rocking chair on his patio and enjoying the company of his fur babies, Pepper and Lucy. Everett was known for his kind and compassionate nature and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Everett is survived by his wife, Alison Boggs, of Rising Sun, IN; by his sister, Peggy Boggs, of Aurora, IN; by his brother, Joe Boggs (Diana), of Moores Hill, IN; by nieces and nephews, Allison Hertsenberg (Stephen), Steve Branham (Ryan), Megan Young, Andy Bare, Sarah Wenstrup (Jimmy), Betsy Fulmen (Toby), Jodi Rieman and Zachariah Boggs (Alexandra); and by many great and great great nieces and nephews. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Dock and Veda Boggs and by his brother, Matthew Boggs.
Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Friday, January 3rd, 2025 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, January 3rd at Markland Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Post 59 Sons of the American Legion. marklandfuneralhome.com
