Everett D. Walton

Everett Dale Walton, 81, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at Ridgewood Health Campus in  Lawrenceburg, IN. Everett was born in Ohio County, IN on December 22, 1937, a son of the late Bertha (Reamer) and Robert Walton. Everett grew up in Ohio County and attended school there along with his brothers Cleveland and Ervin and his sister Edith. Everett was married to Wanda (Dennis) who passed away on January 31, 1989. He married Janet (Jackson) Caldwell on August 8, 1992, who survives him. Everett worked as a parts clerk for the Indiana State Highway Department for 41 years. Farming was Everett's true passion. He loved the farm life and loved sharing this life with his family. Everett also liked to go dancing and enjoyed listening to Don Williams. He was a long time member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ.
Everett is survived by his wife, Janet Walton, of Rising Sun, IN; by stepsons, Jerry Caldwell (Judy), of Dillsboro, IN, Steve Caldwell (Shari), of Aurora, IN and Daryl Caldwell (Renee), of Bright, IN; by  grandchildren; Lee Caldwell, Amy Caldwell, Kelly Caldwell, Alex Caldwell, Sam Caldwell, Maggie Caldwell, Cammi Caldwell & Reid Caldwell and by great grandchildren: Hayle & Adie Breashears. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, by his first wife, Wanda, by brothers, Cleveland Walton & Ervin Walton, by his sister Edith Koons and by two infant sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday, November 15th at the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Thursday, November 14th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Burial will be at Marker-Althoff Cemetery in Bear Branch, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America or the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ.
