Freda Louise (Martin) Royce

Freda Louise Royce, 82, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Thursday, April 15th, 2021. Freda was born in Carroll County, VA on May 22, 1938, a daughter of the late Lila Jane (Weddle) Martin and Aubrey Goodwin Martin. She graduated from High School in Logan, WV. Freda loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of the East Cooper Baptist Church in South Carolina. She liked daily Bible studies with Les Feldick. She enjoyed adventures which was shown in the many travels throughout the USA that she made with family and friends. Freda worked at several jobs over the years, including the Rising Sun State Bank and Aurora Casket Company. Her hobbies included puzzles and politics. Freda lived in numerous states and was grateful for her Rising Sun Community and The United States of America's freedoms. She is survived by her twin daughters: Patricia Renee (Robert) Hamilton of Rising Sun, IN and Pamela Jane (Neil) Carter of Antioch, IL and her sister: Ila Mae Osborne of Fountaintown, IN: and 4 grandchildren; Ben Hamilton  of Houston, TX, Audrey (Tim) Vojtech of Antioch, IL, Aaron Carter of Antioch, IL and Adam Carter of Milwaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ben Royce, who was the love of her life. Memorials may be given to the Ohio County EMS or to the Rising Sun United Methodist Church. Private family graveside services will be held on Monday, April 19th at the Rising Sun New Cemetery. Markland Funeral Home of Rising Sun, IN serving the family.
