Gail Ann (Cochran) Short

Gail Ann Short, 67, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 5:09 AM, Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn in Lawrenceburg, IN. Gail was born in Cincinnati, OH on August 11, 1954, a daughter of the late Norma Lee (Hess) Cochran and Hubert William "Bill" Cochran. Gail grew up in Ohio County and was a graduate of Rising Sun High School, Class of 1972. Gail married Richard "Rick" Short on January 22, 1977 at the Rising Sun Church of Christ. Gail and Rick were married over 44 years until her passing. Gail took pride in providing a loving home for her husband and children. When her children were younger, she was very active in their school activities and was former president of the PTO. In the earlier years of her marriage, Gail worked at Peoples Bank and also was a office manager for local dentist's offices. Gail was also a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. Gail loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren was something she cherished.

Gail is  survived by her loving husband, Rick Short, of Rising Sun, IN; by her daughter, Amanda Waggoner and husband Bob, of Zionsville, IN;  by her son, Keith Short, of Rising Sun, IN and by her beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Jillian and Josephine "Joey".  Gail is also survived by two sisters, Connie Young and husband Larry, of Rising Sun, IN and Tina Cochran, of Versailles, IN.
