Gary Joe Cobb, Sr.

Gary Joe Cobb, Sr., 57, of Aurora, IN, passed away on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 in Harrison, Ohio. Gary was born in Montgomery, LA on February 20, 1966, a son of Patsy Ruth (Woodel) Coleman, of Warsaw, KY and the late OC Cobb. He was a graduate of Conner High School in Hebron, KY. Gary proudly served his country as a SSgt in the U.S. Air Force receiving the AF Commendation Medal and AF Achievement Medal. Gary was the beloved husband of Karen (Chamberlin) Cobb. Gary & Karen were married July 29, 1993. Gary was Vice President & Sales Manager at Schaefer Box & Pallet Company in Hamilton, OH. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and woodworking. Spending time with his grandchildren is what he loved most.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Karen Cobb, of Aurora, IN; by his son, Gary Joe Cobb, Jr. and wife Sarah, of Fisherville, KY;  by his step son, Tony Sandfoss and wife Casey, of Edgewood, KY; by his mother, Patsy Coleman, of Warsaw, KY; by his step mother, Louella Cobb, of Honea Path, SC and by his four cherished grandchildren: Trent, Owen, Evelyn and Olivia. Gary is also survived by two brothers, Tony Cobb, of Dry Ridge, KY and Doyle Cobb and wife Deanna, of Crittenden, KY and by his step sister, Suzanne Mull, of Honea Path, SC.

Services for Gary will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Markland Funeral Home of Rising Sun, IN serving the family.
