Gary L Snyder of Switzerland County, Indiana, born August 29, 1947, passed away at his home on May 15, 2023 at the age of 75.  Beloved husband of Debbie S. Snyder. Dear father of Susan (Fred) Lamm, Gabrielle Snyder, Sarah (Chris) Sharp, and Derek Snyder.  Much loved grandfather of Paige Fumarola, Carissa Fumarola, Liane Thomas, Willow Sharp, and Hazel Sharp. Brother of Roger Snyder, brother-in-law of Kathleen Snyder, and uncle of Shawn Snyder and Barb (Mike) Klopp. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Snyder and Dorothy Snyder, his brother, Terry Snyder, and his grandson, Joshua Thomas. He will also be missed by many cousins, other family members, and friends. He attended Western Kentucky University, will be remembered for his humor, and spent his career working for Aurora Casket Factory, taking great pride in his excellent work. Gary loved his family, hunting, fishing, shooting his guns, building things, reading science fiction books, dragons, and life on their farm, especially riding his horses.  He requested cremation services by Markland Funeral Home of Rising Sun, IN and the family will have a celebration of life at their home, date and time to be determined.  Flowers and condolences may be sent to his wife, Debbie Snyder at their family home at 11295 Bryants Creek Rd, Rising Sun, IN 47040.
