Georgia Carolyn Potter, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Rising Sun, Indiana on July 4, 2024, at the age of 90. She was born February 23, 1934, in Mt. Sterling, Indiana to the late George W. Graham and Mary Thelma Mountz. She grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky and graduated from Patriot High School in 1952. After graduating, she met the love of her life, Carroll William Potter, and they were married for over 50 years until his passing. Georgia was a dedicated wife and mother, devoting her time to raising their three children and creating a loving home for her family. Georgia had a passion for spending time with her family. She loved camping trips, gardening, crocheting, and Eastern Star. Georgia was known for her kind ways and always putting others before herself. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Georgia is survived by her children and their families, including multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband, Carroll William Potter, whom she shared many 50+ happy years with, preceded her in death in May 2022.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial Service that will be held at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, Indiana on Thursday, July 11th from 5-8pm with an Eastern Star Service at 7 pm. There will also be a private family interment of the ashes on Saturday, July 13th , 2024. Memorial donations may be made to Our Hospice.
