Glen Garrett Long

Glen Garrett Long, 79, of Dillsboro, IN, passed away on Friday, December 17th, 2021 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, IN. Glen was born in Irvine, KY on September 15, 1942, a son of the late Mary (Canner) Elam and Shirley  Long. Glen proudly served his country in the US Army. Glen was a retired truck driver. He drove several years for DuVall Construction and John Jurgensen Trucking. Glen was the husband of Carol (Struble) Long. Glen and Carol were married on March 3, 1984 and were together over 37 years until his passing. Glen enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also an excellent cook. Glen was a loving husband, father, brother and proud grandpa.

Glen is  survived by his wife, Carol Long, of Dillsboro, IN; by his daughter, Maria S. Beach (Fred), of Dillsboro, IN; by his son, Glen G. Long, Jr., of Rising Sun, IN; by his granddaughter, Paris Marie Long and by his brother, Edmund Long (Pat), of Irvine, KY. Glen was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Peggy Noe.
