Howard Glenn Burgess

Howard Glenn Burgess was born in Ohio County, IN on July 1, 1942, a son of the late Romana (Baker) and Clyde G. Burgess. He attended school in Moores Hill, IN. Howard worked many years at the Aurora Casket Company in Aurora, IN. Howard married Joyce Ann (Huffman) Burgess on July 14, 1962. Howard and Joyce were married 53 years until her passing on September 28, 2015. Howard loved being outside and enjoyed hunting rabbit, deer and squirrel. His passion for the outdoors was something he shared with his son and grandson. Howard passed away at 3:35 AM, Wednesday, June 17th, 2020 at High Point Health in Lawrenceburg, IN at the age of 77.

Howard is  survived by a son,Tony Burgess and wife Lori, of Center Square, IN; by his grandson, Collin Burgess and fiancee Morgan Cady; by three sisters, Tish Bethke, of OH;  Carolyn Meyers (Jim), of Carmel, IN; Kathy Hollin (Rich), of Moores Hill, IN; by a brother, Buck Burgess (Sandy), of Indianapolis, IN; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many friends.
 
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Friday, June 26th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Public Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, June 26th at Markland Funeral Home. Interment will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to ALS Therapy Development Institute. Cards are available at the funeral home. marklandfuneralhome.com
