Jack Gordon Facemire

Jack Gordon Facemire, 96, of Hardy, VA (formerly of Gallipolis, OH) passed away on Sunday, June 21st, 2026 at the Runk & Pratt Adult Care Center. Jack was born in Rising Sun, IN on July 15, 1929, a son of the late Edna (Cochran) Facemire and Ralph Facemire. He was a graduate of Rising Sun High School and attended the University of Cincinnati. Jack proudly served his country in the US Army and obtained the rank of Corporal. Jack was a man of many talents and worked as a draftsman, photographer and surveyor. He retired from American Electric Power. Jack enjoyed woodworking, gardening and cooking in his spare time. 

Jack is  survived by two sons, Jeff Facemire and wife Hortensia, of Cornelius, NC and Scott Facemire and wife Nicole, of Hardy, VA and by his daughter-in-law, Jenni Facemire, of Bidwell, OH. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Mary K. (White) Facemire; by his son, Gary Facemire and by his sister, Carolyn Lohide.
 
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 25th, 2026 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 25th at Markland Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will follow the services at Heritage Hall in Rising Sun. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
