James  William Moore, Jr., 70, of Patriot, IN, passed away on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital. James  was born in Cincinnati, OH on June 4, 1951, a son of the late Francis Marie  and James  William Moore, Sr. James was a  truck driver most of his life and last worked for U.S. Express. He was the widower of Darlene  (Moody) Moore who passed away in 2009. James & Darlene were married in 1978. James loved to go fishing with his kids and playing pool with Darlene. He also enjoyed singing and had written his own songs. James was an avid reader and had authored his own children's book. James was a man of faith and devoted member of the Hope Baptist Church in Dillsboro, IN.

James  is  survived by two daughters, Vanessa Moore, of Patriot, IN and Mildred Lamdin, of Riverview, FL; by two sons, James William Moore, III, of Florida and  Jimmy  Fuller, of Cincinnati, OH; by four grandchildren, Deserae Helton Yost, Cameron Helton, Hayden Helton and Kelsey Case; by five great grandchildren, Robert, Blayden, Kayden, Emmalyn and Braxton; by sisters-in-law, Virginia McPeek and Janet Draper, both of Lawrenceburg, IN; by brother-in-law, Paul Bradley (Diane), of Dillsboro, IN; by three nieces, Ann Hollis, Sherry Jones and Sarah Marie and by several other nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his siblings, by his wife Darlene and by granddaughters Shayla and Caitlyn Winkle.
 
A Celebration of Life for James will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made towards funeral expense. Markland Funeral Home of Rising Sun, IN serving the family. marklandfuneralhome.com
