James Richardson Obituary

James Richardson, 76, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away on July 10, 2020 at The Waters of Dillsboro. James was born in Dearborn County, IN on August 4, 1943, the son of the late Alma (Buchanan) and Charles M Richardson. James worked at Batesville Products, retiring on December 18, 2007. James married the love of his life, Carolyn (Rector) Richardson On August 4th, 1978. James and Carolyn were married for almost 42 years. James could always be found tinkering in his garage taking things apart and trying to put them back together. He also enjoyed going fishing. More than anything, James loved spending time with his grandchildren playing games, coloring, taking walks, going to the park and fishing. Anyone that knew him, knew he believed his greatest accomplishment was being a grandfather.  James was diagnosed with dementia and was admitted to the Waters of Dillsboro on November 16, 2018. On July 5, 2020 he was diagnosed with COVID-19 which took his life 5 days later. James is survived by his devoted and caring wife, Carolyn Richardson; by two children, Danielle Titkemeyer and husband David, of Rising Sun, IN and William Kraemer and wife Lisa, of Spencer, IN; by grandchildren, Matthew (Brittany), Bryan, Ethan and Elaina; by greatgrandchildren, Aubree, Kylee, and Addison; by a sister, MaryAnn Sebree, of Madison, IN.
