James "Jimbo" Ray Marcum

James Ray “Jimbo” Marcum, 60, of Rising Sun, IN passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on November 22, 1962, a son of Betty (Davis) Massong and Prentice Marcum was raised by George Massong. James was employed in construction. He enjoyed spending time with his mother and working on the family farm, shooting, and caring for his dogs.

James is survived by his mother, Betty Jean Massong of Rising Sun, IN; significant other Lela Schmidt of Rising Sun, IN; sons James Marcum second his spouse Trevor Hall of KY and Samuel “Biggie” Marcum of KY; step sons David Rushman of FL and stepson Joseph Richard-Webb; Rising Sun , IN; daughter Betty IKg and her spouse Brian IKg of Cincinnati Oh; brothers George Massong (Tracey) of Rising Sun, IN and Gary Marcum of OH; sister Amy Lenarbe (Mark) of KY; grandchildren June, Amina, Piper, Paxton, McKenzi, Kayson, and Abella; and mother of his son's, Penelope Marcum. He was preceded in death by his father George Massong; son Nathan Marcum; brothers Jack Marcum and  Greg Marcum; and sisters Crystal Marcum, Kathy Massong, and Cynthia Massong.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 8th, from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Markland Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday, April 8th, at 1 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expense.
