Jimmy Dale Shaw

Jimmy Dale Shaw, 65, of Rising Sun, IN passed away on Monday, February 1st, at St. Elizabeth Dearborn in Lawrenceburg, IN. Jimmy was born in Madison, IN on August 8, 1955, a son of the late James Elbert Shaw. He grew up in the Aurora community and was a graduate of South Dearborn High School. Jimmy worked as a Boilermaker. In his younger years, he worked on river barges. Jimmy was a very talented artist. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and canoeing. Jimmy liked reading the works of Louis L'Amour. He was also a collector of vintage signs and other antiques.   Jimmy is  survived by a son, Jimmy Dale Shaw II (Kara Masters), of Erlanger, KY;  by a step son, Robert Taylor, of Rising Sun, IN; by grandchildren, Oaklynn Shaw, Evelyn Shaw, Hunter McIntosh and Bobby, Stevie & Rachel Taylor; by sister-in-law, Cathy Shaw, of Patriot, IN; by nieces, Rebecca, Rikki and Brandi and by a nephew Willy. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, James E. Shaw, by his grandmother who raised him, Nellie Whitaker, by his brother, Richard Wayne "Rick" Shaw and his nephew, James Jessie Shaw.  

Visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 4th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Final services will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made the charity of donor's choice.
