Jonnie Louise (Goodpaster) Theetge

Jonnie Louise (Goodpaster) Theetge, 69, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away Monday, November 17th, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg, IN. Jonnie was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on April 13, 1956, a daughter of the late Betty (Ridner) Goodpaster and John E. Goodpaster. Jonnie grew up in Aurora, IN and attended Aurora High School. She was the wife of Virgil E. Theetge. Jonnie and Virgil were married on September 24, 1994. Jonnie worked for several years as a nurse's aide and traveling home health aide. She had an appreciation for antique dolls and acquired a sizable  collection. Jonnie had a deep affection for all creatures and had a large array of animals she considered her pets. Above all else, Jonnie loved her family and friends.

Jonnie is survived by her loving husband, Virgil Theetge, of Rising Sun, IN; by her sons, Billy Paul Theetge, of Rising Sun, IN;  Joseph Theetge, of Rising Sun, IN and Shawn Goodpaster (Keisha), of Cincinnati, OH; by her daughters, Jennifer Hacker (Chris), of Fairfield, OH and Camilla Coy, of Rising Sun, IN; by eight grandchildren: Christopher Theetge, Kennedy Theetge-Tucker, Blake Coy, Wyatt Coy, Karah Coy, Logan Stegemiller, Clayton Stegemiller & Regan Theetge and by four great grandchildren: Desmond Theetge, Chloe Coy, Colton Coy and Truman Tucker. Jonnie is also survived by two brothers, Danny Goodpaster, of Florence, KY and  David Goodpaster, of Cincinnati, OH. 
 
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, November 21st, 2025 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Eldon Fancher officiating. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, November 21st at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
