Keith Wayne “Buttons” Vest, 64, of Aurora, IN, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022.

Keith was born on August 24, 1958 in Milan, IN, a son of the late Charles William Vest and

Velma Marie (White) Vest. Keith attended school in Rising Sun, IN. Keith was self-employed

and held various jobs over the years such as automotive recycling and cab driving. He was

known for being a skilled poker player and enjoyed collecting toys and flipping storage units.

Keith is survived by his son Robert Vest of Aurora, IN; daughters Jennifer Marcum of Aurora,

IN, Sherry Castro (Micah) of Florida, and Ruth Hake (David) of Aurora, IN; brothers Kenny

Vest (Georgiana) of North Vernon, IN, Bill Vest of Batesville, IN, and John Vest (Kelli) of

Rising Sun, IN; sisters Glenda Hill (Raymond) of Aurora, IN, Barbara Jones (Billy) of Pleasant

Plain, OH, and Rachel Bills (Steve) of Moores Hill, IN; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren;

as well as several nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his parents Charles

William Vest and Velma Marie (White) Vest; grandparents Edna Flora (Consley) Vest-Jenkins,

Charles Lee Vest, Gertrude (Ellis) White and John H. White Sr; sister Beverly Lewis; sister-in-

law Kim Vest; nephews Justin Vest and Jaime Adcock; and grandchildren Stacey Lane and

Tracey Lane.

A public visitation will be held Friday, January 6th , from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Markland Funeral

Home. Funeral will be Friday, January 6th at 1 PM at the Markland Funeral Home with burial to

follow at Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to assist with expense.
