Kurt David Zerkle

Kurt David Zerkle, 36, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 12th, 2024 at Mercy Health in Fairfield, OH. Kurt was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on August 2, 1988, a son of Donna (Gould) Zerkle, of Rising Sun and the late David Todd Zerkle. He was employed at BOGE Rubber & Plastics in Hebron, KY. Kurt was a gearhead and enjoyed working on his trucks and riding motorcycles. He could fix just about anything. Kurt was also an animal lover and treasured the companionship of his dog Rocksie. Kurt loved his family and would do anything for them.

Kurt is survived by his mother, Donna Zerkle, of Rising Sun, IN; by his sister, Haley Zerkle, of Newport, KY; by his brother, Cory Zerkle, of Burlington, KY; by his grandmothers, Eileen Gould, of Rising Sun, IN and Liz Zerkle, of Rising Sun, IN; by his nephew, Carson David Zerkle; by his cousins, Stacie, Jamie, Brett, Alan, Brooke and Katie and by many other family members and friends. Kurt was preceded in death by his father, David Todd Zerkle and by his grandfathers, David Aaron Zerkle and William David "Buck" Gould.
 
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 18th, 2024 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 18th at Markland Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the family towards funeral expense. marklandfuneralhome.com
