Leroy Paul Green

Leroy Paul Green, 71, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away on Monday, January 25th, 2021 at University Hospital in Cincinnati,  OH. Paul was born in Hamilton County, OH on November 13, 1949, a son of the late Lilian Ruth (Howard) and William Henry Green. Paul worked as butcher most of his life for various stores and meat plants including IGA, JC Stores and JTM Meats. He was the husband of Cheryl (Fox) Green. They were married on November 21, 2013. Paul loved to fish and had tall fishing stories to tell also. He was a talented musician and was passionate  about playing the guitar and writing music. Paul loved to watch old westerns and read books about the old west, he would actually do both at the same time. He had an excellent memory and remembered everyone's telephone number. Paul was always very kind, caring and willing to help others. He never wanted anything in return. Paul was deeply loved and will be missed, but never forgotten.

Paul is survived by his wife, Cheryl Green, of Rising Sun, IN; by a daughter, Paula  Sanders (David), of Aurora, IN;  by three step daughters, Denise Chambers, of Rising Sun, IN;  Michelle Bishop (John), of Millsboro, KY and  Rebecca Davis, of Cincinnati, OH; by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 16 step great grandchildren. Paul is also survived by a sister, Ruth Gillespie (Ernie), of Lawrenceburg, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his son Timothy Green and by 4 brothers.
 

Memorial services will be held at  1PM, Monday, February 1st at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Rev. Jim Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Monday, February 1st at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery.
