Linda Chipman Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda K. Chipman, beloved sister, mother, grandmother and friend, who passed away peacefully on Jan. 27th at the age of 79. Her one wish was to pass before she forgot her family and friends, she was granted that wish. Linda was a member of the Rising Sun First Baptist Church where she formerly taught Sunday school.  She worked at Tandy’s IGA for 11 years and enjoyed her coworkers and the customers during her time there. She will be forever remembered for her poolside snacks of lemons with salt, sweet tea and her tolerance for all the neighborhood kids, friends and family hanging out at the pool during the summer time.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Hamilton and husband Randy, Donita Valentine and husband Chris, and Jennifer Chipman; by her grandchildren: Michael Hamilton, Leah Hamilton (Alex Schwarz), Tara Roeder (Branden), Evan Valentine, Kennedy Theetge (Ty Tucker), Keaton Hettinger, Owen Alanis, and Reagan Theetge; by her great grandchildren: Madalynne Schwarz, Jameson Schwarz, Marlayna Roeder, Joseph Roeder, Kora Nye, Bentley Valentine and Truman Tucker. She is also survived by her brother, Kenny Gregory and wife Susie.
