Linda Kay (Bovard) Frederick

Linda Kay (Bovard) Frederick, 75, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away Friday, January 8th, at St. Elizabeth-Dearborn, Lawrenceburg, IN. Linda was born in Milan, IN on November 3, 1945, a daughter of the late Virginia (Baker) and Robert Kenny Bovard. She attended Vevay High School and went on to work as a gauger at Anchor Glass for 40 years and also bartended part time. She was a member of the Aurora Eagles, Aurora Moose and Dillsboro American Legion. Linda greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, going on vacations with them and hanging out at the beloved family camp.

Linda is  survived by daughters, Lucinda Kay Mangold (Daniel), of Vevay, IN, Angela Long (Craig) of Versailles, IN, and Tammie Counts of Rising Sun, IN;  son, Pete Counts, of Aurora, IN; step daughters, Sheila  Porter of FL;  Shamra Browning of Dillsboro, IN, sisters, Bonnie Bovard of Rising Sun, IN;  Connie Richter (David) of Rising Sun, IN,  Nanette Daws, of Rising Sun, IN,  Suzanne Bovard of Valdosta, GA;  Cindy Hudson (Tony) of Rising Sun, IN,  Joyce Allen (Bruce) of Bright, IN;  Sheila Williams (Greg) of Florence, KY,  Leisa Jensen (Jodi) of Haysville, NC; brother, Herschel Bovard, of Aurora, IN; sister-in-laws Sharon Bovard of Rising Sun, IN and Delores Bovard; grandchildren Taylor Leach, Lindsey Mangold, Tyler Counts, Trey Long, Craig Steven Long, and Shyla Cantrell; great grandchildren Dylan Leach, Bradley Leach, Abby Cantrell, Oliver Willis, Lilian Jester, and Landyn Jester, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Bovard, Terry Bovard, Tommie Bovard, and Warren Bovard; sister Brenda Youger, half-brothers Bobby Bovard and Nathan Bovard, half-sister Barbara Armond, and brother-in-law Roy Daws.

A memorial visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, January 15th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN.
