Linda (Elza) Probst

Linda Probst, 79, of Patriot, IN, passed away at 9:37 PM, Friday, January 21st, at her residence. Linda was born in Aberdeen, IN on April 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Francis (Fogle) and James Elza. She attended school in Rising Sun. On April 13, 1994, she was married to Donald Probst, who preceded her in death on March 16, 2021. She was employed as a custodian at Rising Star Casino. Linda enjoyed cooking, spoiling her grandchildren and spending time with all her family. She was also a great supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 

Linda is survived by son Louis Bottorff, daughters Teresa Almaraz, Tonia Allen, Regina Payne (Lewis), and Angela Leija; 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren; many other extended family members; and shared the companionship of Clarence Bottorff Jr. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons Clarence Abraham Bottorff III and Michael Wayne Borttorff; son-in-laws Santiago "Jimmy" Leija and Michael C. Allen; and sister Betty Powers.

A public visitation will be held 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Wednesday, January 26th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN, with funeral to follow at 4:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
