Loretta Lovina Girod

Loretta Lovina Girod, 6, of Bennington, IN, passed away at 1:51 PM on April 18, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior. Loretta was born on August 16, 2015 in Madison, IN, a daughter of Polly (Bontrager) and Samuel Girod. Loretta was a light to all she encountered and will be dearly missed by her family, church family, and friends. Loretta is survived by her mother, Polly (Bontrager) and father, Samuel Girod of Bennington, Indiana; brothers, Malachi Girod, Jethro Girod, and Matthias Girod of Bennington, Indiana; sisters, Rebecca Girod and Deborah Girod of Bennington, Indiana; grandparents, Daniel and Miriam Girod of Canaan, Indiana, Leroy and Katie Bontrager of Sebeka, Minnesota; great grandparents, August Girod of Kentucky, Saloma Eicher of Michigan, and Esther Bontrager of LaGrange, Indiana, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Loretta was greeted in Heaven by her sisters, Joanna Girod and Twila Girod.

A public visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20th, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Hope Baptist Church in Dillsboro, IN. Funeral will be held Thursday, April 21st, at 10:00 AM at Hope Baptist Church. A meal will follow the funeral at the church. After the meal, procession will depart for burial at 1:30 PM to Nell Lee Cemetery, Fairview, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to MAP Ministry.
