Loretta L. Knaus

Loretta L. Knaus, 58, of Vevay, IN passed away Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 at her home. Loretta was born in Versailles, KY on April 3, 1968, a daughter of the late Dorene (Nussbaum) Beal and Paul  Beal. Loretta married Dennis W. Knaus on September 4, 2001. They were married nearly 25 years until her passing. Loretta formerly worked in the Food & Beverage Department for Belterra Casino Resort in Florence, IN. She attended the Fredonia Baptist Church in Vevay, IN. Loretta enjoyed the outdoors, tending to her flowers and landscaping around the yard. She also liked to do craft projects and was talented at flower arranging. Loretta is survived by her husband, Dennis Knaus, of Veay, IN; by her granddaughter, Olivia Miller, of Moores Hill, IN; by her extended adopted family, Chris & Amanda Miller, Kohen Courtney, Kamdynn Courtney, Christian Miller, Aubree Miller and Kiegan Miller, all of Moores Hill, IN. Loretta is also survived by her sisters, Mary Beal, of Lawrenceburg, IN and Betty Jo Cope, of Erlanger, KY; by her brother, Robert Sluder, of Newport, KY and by several nieces and nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Dorene Beal and by her sister, Donna Beal.

Public visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 27th, 2026 at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. It was Loretta's request that no formal funeral service be held. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
